Safe Travels

This story should remind all ISB students to be safe on public transportation. Whether you are taking a bus, train or an uber, make sure to be quiet and well behaved and not distract the driver or conductor.

Just last week in China, there was a fatal bus crash with 15 deaths caused by a rude and aggressive passenger. The 48-year-old female passenger was annoyed at the bus driver because he could not drop her off at her usual stop due to construction. She started arguing and physically punching the bus driver with her phone. When he tried to defend himself by punching her back, he lost control of the bus, crashed into a car and broke through the guardrail, and the whole bus with all its passengers went tumbling almost 200 feet into the Yangtze River. None survived.

Keeping this in mind, let us all be safe to and from school. In addition, we should all try to be respectful passengers. This means that we should offer a seat to pregnant and elderly people as well as small infants. We should not push and shove to get on to the bus and train. BE SAFE!!
